It is with heavy hearts that we tell you that Katie Nemes passed away on Tuesday May 9 2017 after a long illness. Katie was a long term and very active member of Qwire who was awarded our first Life Membership in recognition of her outstanding contribution.
Earlier in 2017 Katie and her partner Lyn went to New Zealand to be married. Then in March, despite being unwell, Katie celebrated her 70th birthday by gathering family and friends and hosting a marvellous party. In an email after that event she wrote ‘It was quite a party, wasn't it? I loved every minute! ' Katie had such a zest for life. We shall miss her.
